Airplane ride

We were boarding the plane, it’s my first time in an air plane. “It’s a lot smaller than in the movies” I said to myself, we got to our seats “34 B” I was sitting in the island seat settling my stuff and readying for take off! As the plane was taking off  butterflies were bursting inside my stomach I muffled my giggles because people were trying to sleep. Eventually I settled down and ordered a coke after I was done with my drink I went fast asleep and poof I was in sunny California! But it wasn’t sunny because it was nighttime...😅

  1. You need to add more to your story. I'm left curious as to where you're going, who you're going with, why you're going, and how the airplane ride went...

If I was president

If I was president I would use a portion of taxes to give to the homeless, 3rd world countries and struggling collage students. I would keep DACA, and make school lunches better because I'm pretty sure kids don't want food that bounces and to have their cheese to taste like plastic. I would raise the salary for teachers, social workers and whoever dresses up as santa at the mall. Kids won't have to wear uniforms only ID's and in troubled neighborhoods police officers would be almost everywhere where they are children to prevent illegal activities. More field trips in school by/ kids don't want to sit in a classroom all day even if we are playing games or  have free time.

Butterfly Project- “The Pain Strikes Sparks on me the Pain of Terezin”

Fifteen beds. Fifteen charts with names, Fifteen people without a family tree. Fifteen bodies for whom torture is medicine and pills. Beds over which the crimson blood of ages spills. Fifteen bodies that want to live here. Thirty eyes seeking quietness. Bald heads that gape from out of the prison. The holiness of the suffering, which is none of my business. The loveliness of the air, which day after day Smells of strangeness and carbolic. The nurses that carry thermometers Mothers who grope after a smile. Food is such a luxury here. A long, long night, and a brief day. But anyway, I don't want to leave The lighted rooms and the burning checks, Nurses who leave behind them only a shadow To help the little sufferers. I'd like to stay here, a small patient, Waiting the doctor's daily round, Until, after a long, long time, I'd be well again. Then I'd like to live And go back home again.

Quarter two reflections

1. Of the books you have read this quarter, which was your favorite? Why? My favorite has to be the giver because we did it as a class and it was fun like talking about the book with other students. 2. In what area do you think you made your biggest improvements in English Language Arts?  Annotating, because before I would never annotate any of the books I would read and annotation helps me read the book and understand it better  3.  What is something you have accomplished since the new year that you are proud of? I started customizing shoes for people I’ve done two pairs of shoes for people 4.  Where are you in your Book Challenge? Behind, but I’m trying to catch up. 5.  What has been the most challenging part of 2nd Quarter for you and what did/can you do to help overcome this? Definitely Blogging I’ve been trying to blog more and get more comfortable with it but  I still struggle sometimes. 6.  What strategies have benefited you?...
